We are checking into hosting an ONLINE BRIDAL SHOW on our site where each vendor can submit a video and/or slideshow and contact info/website link. We all chip in for SEO to have it show up 1st on Google, Yahoo, and Bing. If we get 96 vendors across the country to chip in $10 a month (for a local territory) (or $100 for national) we can get $960 worth of SEO and will be in the top 3 results on page 1 under the search Bridal Show (5800 searches). If we get 20 in each state we could have $10,000 for SEO and get top listings under several main searches bridal show(5800)bridal shows(8800)wedding DJ with a catch-all to get every search with the word DJ(98,500),wedding cake(60,000), wedding officiate(49,500)wedding package(2400)wedding packages(9900), That's over 235,000 searches per month with an expected click through rate of 10%! When we get really big we can also add wedding photographer(over 1 million more searches per month). Keep in mind that unlike a live show you will have no competitors in your exclusive area!
My wife has started about 10 Facebook groups so we already have lots of vendors that can participate and yet we can still limit it to 1 vendor of each type for each area.
We already have excellent SEO on our sites and currently average 150 hits a day but during the busy season we get up around 200-250 a day.
Each member will submit a slideshow or video and a 1 paragraph bio with website link and phone number. Your exclusive area/service will be locked up for 1 year with 1st option to renew. This is not a for profit thing for us, we will invest all of the money into SEO top 3 placement for the pages and will maintain them. We will not place the listing until we have enough members to fund it. All we are getting out of it is increased traffic to our site which will also help all of us with the increased Google ranking. We are already on the 1st page for over 200 searches :D
