11-23-11 Thanks to the guys at Sony Alpha Rumors we now have an unofficial download of firmware version 1.04. This was on and off the SONY China site in a short time but a few of the guys saved the link for us. I stress this is the unofficial version but it did work on my cameras. 10-13-11 Release of SONY SLT-A77 version 1.03. HOORAY, SONY released it today! It only takes about 10 minutes to download|apply and is supposed to fix all of the known bugs and some speed upgrades in certain areas.

We have shot over 5,000 photos with version 1.02 and not experienced any of the issues that others have posted. We have posted photos from 2 weddings taken with our SONY A77 in very poor lighting. The SONY SLT-A77 did a wonderful job of dealing with both of the environments. See some samples here.
