Most of our wedding DJs use laptops with
expensive software that allows them
the flexibility to be
the best entertainers possible!
We personally recommend
Virtual DJ Studio
to all of our wedding DJs because it allows
them to cue up to 12 songs
at a time... including Karaoke!
Although we play great sounding digital music
through a laptop, we do not use
them exclusively because they could
possibly crash during a show. We also use real CDs or SD cards
and bring a backup copy
of every important song you requested.
We always bring back up components
with us to make sure there is never
a disappointment when it comes
to the entertainment for your event!!
DJ Mic-L's main system consists of:
which sends up to 500 watts of power to each speaker and gives me full control of the quality of sound.
I'm a professional wedding DJ... so yes, I do know what all those buttons, knobs, and sliders are for!
My Yorkville Elite X401 speakers can handle a constant 400 watts of power. You do not want to be in the same room with 400 watts
coming from each of 2 speakers so we never turn it up all the way! The bass on these speakers already goes lower than most subwoofers do so I hide the matching
Yorkville Elite LS720P powered subwoofer under the table to compliment the speakers and provide
an additional up to 1500 watts of thump for your celebration!
I keep these refurbished to look fantastic and have removed the blue logo from the front of the main speakers.
We use Toshiba laptops and hard drives with Ultramixer 3 and Virtual DJ software for music, and Siglos for Karaoke.
Of course we always bring a backup Toshiba laptop and hard drive and another 1,000 watt powered mixer so you can rest assured
that the celebration will not ever stop until it's over!
I built a custom rack for all of my equipment so that you and your guests will never have to see my component wires!
Noitice that the wires from my system run down the back of the table away from the view of your guests.

We use the dual SD card mixer instead of dual CDS because CDs can skip...
and they DO when we fire up our subwoofer that shakes the whole table!
SD cards also allow us to file thousands of songs on a card about
the size of a postage stamp!
